Payment Policies

for 2012 - 2013 | includes Tuition, Registration and Equipment Costs

All tuition, deposits and fees must be paid in full by August 1, 2012. If a singer's account is not paid in full by the deadline above, he/she will not be allowed to participate in CCSA rehearsals, programs or activities. The following payment schedule applies to the 2012-2013 season:

Non-Refundable Registration Fee - A $15 registration fee per singer is due at the time a choral placement time is reserved for your singer(s). Your choral placement time is not guaranteed until the reservation fee has been received by the CCSA office. Placement times not paid for within seven (7) days of the reservation will be cancelled and the time released as available to other families. Singers will not be allowed to participate in their placement appointment if this fee is not paid. This fee is non-refundable. Please use the new online reservation system to facilitate your choral placement reservation and payment. There is no additional fee for this service!

Non-Refundable Tuition Deposit - A $100 tuition deposit is due at the time of your singer's scheduled choral placement. Your singer may be heard only if this non-refundable deposit is paid at the time of the appointment. This deposit is non-refundable.

Tuition - The balance remaining of your singer's tuition will be due on or before August 1, 2012. If a singer's account is not paid in full by the deadline above, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the 2012 - 2013 season. The following payment options are available to all families:

• Payment Plans - All families will complete an agreement at the time of their placement hearing and choose one of two options: (a) payment in full (b) payments divided into three (3) monthly installments due on the 1st or the 15th of the month respectively. Please see payment agreement at your placement appointment for details.
• Financial Assistance - CCSA provides opportunities for qualified families to apply for financial assistance. Applications are available at or in advance of placement appointments and must be completed and submitted to the CCSA office by May 31, 2012. Applications are reviewed by the Finance Committee and decisions will be conveyed to parents by June 15, 2012 to allow sufficient time for families to meet their remaining financial obligations with an adjusted payment plan. • Tuition Refund Policy - Singers withdrawing from a CCSA program are eligible for a tuition refund in accordance with the following schedule:
  • Written withdrawal notice received prior to the singer’s first rehearsal of the CCSA season, including the CCSA opening retreat for the elite choirs—100% refund of tuition paid on account except for the non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable tuition deposit ($115.00)
  • Written withdrawal notice received by Friday of the first calendar week of rehearsals—70% refund of tuition except for the non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable tuition deposit ($115.00)
  • Written withdrawal notice received by Friday of the second calendar week of rehearsals—50% refund of tuition except for the non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable tuition deposit ($115.00)
  • Written withdrawal notice received after the second calendar week of rehearsals—NO REFUND

Music Replacement Fee - All music is the property of The Children's Chorus of San Antonio and/or a collaborating organization. If a singer loses his/her music folder or a portion thereof, the singer's account will be assessed the current replacement value for the lost material. This amount is due upon receipt of the invoice.

Uniform Fee - Uniform requirements for singers are based on their respective ensemble. Please see the information below for your choir.

• Youth Chorale | Chamber Choir - Singers in Youth Chorale and Chamber Choir will be fitted for their new uniforms from Southeastern Apparel, as applicable, at the time of their choral placement and ordered on their behalf in June. Costs for new uniforms will be available at your singer's fitting and will be included on your account and invoice. Uniform costs are due by August 1, 2012. 
• Choristers | Junior Chorus | Junior Chorus North | Prelude Choir - Singers in Choristers and Junior Chorus are attired in uniforms from Dennis Uniform Company. Families are responsible for purchasing the uniform components directly from Dennis; costs and uniform component information will be available at your singer's placement appointment.
